Racism is the act of being discriminated against because of skin color, gender, and nationality,. In addition to direct and explicit hostility expressed by white people towards the members of a disadvantaged group (Nash, 2021).

Often, people are discriminated against because they are not from a certain given race that another person is not looking for and hence are denied opportunities and privileges because of their color or nationality. This is a report that evaluates and presents racism taking America as the case study.

The racism that is experienced in the US involves negative views and attitudes that are embraced on either ethnicity or a race that is correlated to each other, held by various people, and a group/groups of people in the US (Guida, 2020).

This involves the negative views and attitudes that have been stated in law to be discriminatory and may vary from practice to action.

Leading figures such as Malcolm X and Martin Luther King Jr. worked to eradicate racial segregation and discrimination in the United States, and their efforts resulted in significant progress in racial equality for African Americans.

Even though, as a country, the United States has made considerable strides toward racial equality, subconscious and unconscious racism are still very much a part of everyday life in the United States today (Grayson, 2020).

Individuals in American culture are not all the same, despite popular belief. Not everyone is treated and given the same chances in the same manner.

In his paper titled Birth Certificates and Unconscious Racism, Paul Rosenberg (add year of publication) presents an important example of unconscious racism that is worth reading.

After previously making statements questioning President Barack Obama's birth certificate, Donald Trump said that he was "the least racist person there is" and that "some of my greatest friends are black."

President Donald Trump seemed to be utterly oblivious that his words included a tell-tale racist term, which is routinely used to introduce antiblack sentiments.

The United States of America still enables prejudice and stereotypes to have an impact on both conscious and unconscious beliefs and behaviors. African Americans are often seen as having suspicious conduct.
