In 1884, Dorothy Gibson was born and later became one of the fortunate survivors of the catastrophic sinking of the Titanic.
Despite her adventurous nature, she made the decision to embark on a voyage with the infamous ship. Accompanied by her mother, she traveled in the luxurious first-class section and was returning from a vacation in Europe.
When disaster struck and the Titanic collided with an iceberg, Dorothy and her mother were promptly ushered into a lifeboat and rescued from the frigid waters.

Back in May 1913, the media was buzzing with news of an illicit affair between Jules Brulatour and Dorothy Gibson. The scandalous story was brought to light during a sensational court case, where Gibson was on trial for a fatal accident that had occurred while she was driving Brulatour's car.
Despite the lack of evidence, the case caused quite a stir.Following the trial, Brulatour ended his marriage and tied the knot with Gibson. However, their marriage was short-lived and they eventually parted ways in 1919, just two years later.
