Composing an essay about Marilyn Monroe has always been my desire, as I strongly believe she is one of the most remarkable figures of our time.
Despite her status as a glamorous and iconic queen of the entertainment industry, Marilyn's life was far from perfect, marked by a constant struggle for happiness.
She experienced a tumultuous childhood, growing up without a father and a mother who suffered from mental illness, and was placed in various foster homes throughout her early years.
Marilyn's romantic life was similarly troubled, characterized by many failed relationships.
Though she achieved great success in Hollywood, her battle with drug addiction proved to be a major obstacle in her life.

On July 23, 1946, Norma Jean signed a contract with Twentieth Century Fox Studios.
However, the producer felt that her name was not suitable for an actress, so she decided to take her mother's family name,
Monroe, and from that day onwards, she was known as Marilyn Monroe.
Not only did her name change, but her appearance also underwent a significant transformation.
She dyed her hair a lighter shade and cut it shorter. Additionally, the producer suggested that she get a nose job to fix what he described as a "baked potato" nose.
Marilyn was extremely passionate about her career and aspired to become a renowned and beloved actress.
She didn't care much for money, power or material possessions, all she wanted was to make a name for herself in the film industry.
Her first acting job was in the movie "ScuddaHo! ScuddaHay". The directors were amazed by the public's fascination with Marilyn, wondering who this stunning blonde woman was.
She also sang for the first time on screen in the film "Ladies of The Chorus" at the age of 22 in 1948.
Marilyn's agent, Johnny Hyde, was much older than her by almost 30 years.
Although Marilyn loved him as a father figure and valued his help with her career, Johnny knew he had limited time left due to heart issues.
He pleaded with Marilyn to marry him so that she could inherit his possessions, but she refused to do so.
Marilyn trusted Johnny more than anyone else at the time, but she didn't want to marry him under those circumstances.
Despite her financial troubles, she didn't want to take advantage of him. The movie company she worked for also underpaid her, despite her rising stardom.
Before she became a big star, Marilyn only had three dresses, which she washed by hand and wore repeatedly.
She couldn't afford much food and often had to eat fast food or peanut butter and raw meat when she had low energy.
Marilyn spent the little money she earned on drama classes to improve her acting skills.
When she was broke and working as a photo model, she sometimes had to exchange sex for money, which she later regretted.
Marilyn was initially against posing nude and had rejected offers to do so.
However, as her financial situation became more desperate, she reluctantly agreed to it as a last resort.
She once said that in Hollywood, a woman's worth was based on her looks rather than her personality or talent.
In 1950, Marilyn landed her first significant role in the film "The Asphalt Jungle," where she played a small but impactful character that left a lasting impression.
A well-known film critic named Alton Cook called her Hollywood's new star, saying that although her role was small, she delivered an excellent performance.
In 1952, she received her first leading role in the film "Don't Bother to Knock."
However, during this time, her dear friend Johnny Hyde passed away, leaving Marilyn feeling depressed and suicidal.
She lived with her singing teacher, Natasha Lytess, who helped her through this difficult period. Natasha also assisted Marilyn with other challenging roles, such as Cherry Garden and Cordelia in King Lean.
Marilyn finally reached the status of a full-fledged Hollywood star with her portrayal of Lorelei Lee, the naive but charming blonde in "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes."
She also appeared as a wild and alluring blonde opposite Robert Mitchum in "River of No Return."
