Utdrag
The authorities will shut down three of our four study programs at our school. In addition to MK, MD, and ST Lillestrøm high school also consist of the study program International Baccalaureate (IB).

If the authorities proceed with the shutdown, the school will either be completely closed or remain with few study choices for the students.

If the school is ultimately closed, 930 students will have to go to another school. 140 employees must find another job.

Are we going to accept this? Not everyone will be accepted in the study program they want. In addition, there are only two upper secondary schools in Lillestrøm that offer the MD line.

The other is located at Jessheim and students that wish to study at the MD line will have to travel for around one hour to go to a school with a MD study program.

There will not be enough space, and places for everyone. This means that around 50 % of the people at MD will not receive a place and must search for another study program.

Native Americans have through the history been treated badly with lack of respect and have been discriminated.

They came from Asia to North America for around 32 thousand to 15 thousand year ago, according to a Norwegian encyclopedia (SNL, 2018).

At that time, most people were living on hunting and fishing, which require large land areas. They are often described as the misleading word, "Indians".

The area they have lived in has been made smaller and smaller, and today they are living in so called reservations. An Indian reservation is a protected area reserved for Indians.

In the reservations they can retain their traditional cultures, languages and identities. In Canada and America there are in total 900 Indian reservations.

In general, the are very poor and therefore they are not able to come out of the reservations and start a new life.

When the Europeans came to America, they were nicely welcomed by the Native Americans in the 1400s.

The Native Americans shared their surviving skills and knowledge, for instance they learned the Europeans how to hunt buffalos.
