Innledning
The British colonized many countries and when it was at its peak the British empire was over 30 million km² and had 450 million inhabitants (Bork, 2012).

The British empire and its colonies were one of the biggest empires in the whole world.

The British had colonies over the whole world, so people often said, "the sun never sets on the British empire"(personal communication, Kari-Anne).

As a result, the British culture, rules and language was spread all over the globe, therefore the culture of the people who got affected by this started fading in different levels (personal communication, Karina).

The colonists especially lost some of their culture and identity when the British sent them to Schools to integrate.

Among the many colonies you have America and Australia, and this essay is going to be about the colonization of Native Americans and Aborigines.

Also, the Indians lived in tribes so they were too divided to fight back against the English, French, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and the Dutch.

In addition, they spoke different languages, so communication was also an obstacle. The Indians were not only peaceful, but actually warriors, therefore they tried to fight against the Europeans.

Moreover, the Europeans were better equipped so it was difficult for the Indians. Besides the smallpox the Indians also was killed because of the war and massacres from the Europeans, and they were pushed to more distant regions (Kirkhusmo, 2017).

In addition, the Europeans took more and more of their land, and they built farms, houses and meadows. In fact, they did not care how the Natives felt about them taking their lands or ruining their way of life.

So, in order to survive, the Native Americans had to take the less payed jobs that the settlers did not want, and by taking these jobs, they became more integrated and their cultures started fading. (Pharo, 2017)

Australia became a part of the British empire in 1770 when James Cook claimed ownership of Australia.

He named the country New South Wales, but it was later changed to Australia (Filseth, 2014).

The colonization started when the United States became independent and the British could no longer send their prisoners there.

Instead they decided to send their prisoners 2 to Australia. After the prisoners had served their time they were free to settle down in Australia (Filseth, 2014).
