Innledning
Today good quality information is accessible everywhere, but so is information filled with bias and fake news.

As consumers, we look for information about everything, but many do not think about all the bias and fake news we encounter on the way, and they take the validity of the news and information for granted.

There are many consequences of untrustworthy information, such as violation of the democracy, which is why it is so important to spot the fake news quickly and not fall for it.

Utdrag
In the article “Giuliani gives jaw-dropping argument for impeaching President Biden but not Trump” from Occupy Democrats, we can spot many cases of bias.

Firstly, the name of the news outlet is Occupy Democrats, which tells us that the information might be biased towards democrats.

Throughout the entire story we get a feel that the person writing this news article keeps writing positively of democrats, while negatively of republicans.

They start of the article by writing about how after the 4 worst years of presidency under Donald Trump, the republicans still seem to blame every negative thing happening towards Biden.

We know that while a majority of people around the world perceived Trump’s four years as very bad, they were quite certainly not the worst years of presidency in American history, as the writer claims.

This is just the writers own subjective meaning about the last 4 years with Trump as president, and not true facts about American history.

Throughout the entire article we notice that there are only negative accusations towards republicans, while democrats seem worshipped.

That is because the writers are biased towards the democratic party, and this whole article is therefore biased, and could be considered misleading for readers without much knowledge of the situation.

A Reuters Institute Digital News Report found that 44% of people in the US who use social media end up seeing news from both the left and right political party, and according to the Pew Research Center two-thirds of US adults consume at least some of their news on social media.
