Innledning
There are numerous opinions regarding the abortion laws in the US. After the roe v wade`s fifty-year time period ran out, there have been massive disagreements connected to the abortion laws.
Although the topic has become more central recently, it’s still been a controversial issue over a long period. In addition to the citizens not being able to find an agreement, the states aren’t agreeing as well.
Instead of continuing with the same laws of the last fifty years, why does some Americans believe that the government shall have more control over a female’s body rather than herself?

The act on equality is stated to be one of the American core values as well. Although it is still not a matter of course as it should have been.
A core value is a trait or a quality that represents important priorities in countries and smaller organisations. According to FN`s statistics, the GII-index (Gender Inequality Index), shows that, men are prior to women.
The lack of equality contradicts the American core value. The state-departments description of the core value based on equality, is stated as following;
The belief that all humans are created equal and are equal in value, without regard to their gender, race, ethnicity, religion, age, disability, or sexual orientation.
Americans are passionate about their values. This does not add up regarding how the abortion debate goes against the act on equality.
