There are 67 different countries that speaks English, because of that the majority thinks that it is the most understood language. That makes most people think of English as a global language.

India has had a very big influence on the English language. The Brittan’s colonized India in 1858 because they wanted their resources.
While they were colonized, the Britain’s made sure that they used all their resources in their rules. The British left in 1947 right before a civil war broke out and left India in a horrible state.
After the colonization English became a very used language with much help from India, because many people knew how to talk English in India.
English is a very adaptable language because of its willingness to change into other languages. English passed its millionth word on June 10th, 2009, 10:22am GMT. It is also getting a lot of new words.
