Innledning
The movie «Hunger games» is based on the novel whit the same title, written by Suzann Collins. This huge American success is a science fiction movie, but I will also call it a fairytale and a thriller.

It is a trilogy whit the movies “catching fire” and “mockingja” coming after “hunger games” whitch is the first. “Hunger games” was released in 2012, by the directors Gary Ross and Francis Lawrence.

Jennifer Lawrence plays the main character in the movie, Katniss Everdeen. The famous actor Liam Hemsworth plays Katniss ‘best friend Gale, and Josh Hutcherson plays Peeta Mellark. This trio plays the wourld-famous movie whitch brings up the theme’s heroism, power, and survival.

Hunger games is structured in a chronological order, but there are few flashbacks, like when Katniss meets Peeta and remembers when he gave her bread when her family were starving a few years ago.

There are probably some messages the authors and director want to send out to the people watching the movie. The fact that the hero in the movie is a young, brave, and independent woman, is probably some messages the people watching.

The author wants to let the people watching, santd for what they mean and not let people control you and your life.

This is connected to the movie, because Katniss don´t let the Capitol and president Snow, control her and the rest of the districts.

In addition to that, the directors have also used some techniques to tell the story. There are sound effects added to what you see.

This make the content more intense and exsiting for us watching. Visual effects like for exsample a lot switching between camera angles, cutting and moving., are also techniques used in the movie to create suspense.

The weather is another visual effect to create suspense and to make what we see more interesting and exsiting.

An exsample of this, is when we see a flachback from Katniss head. She lays outside in the rain, looking for food to bring home to her family starving. The rain and grey weather create a depressing mood.
