Allow me to recount a harrowing series of events that took place over a span of three months from August to November in the year 1888.

During this time, a string of five gruesome murders were committed in London. The perpetrator, who quickly gained notoriety as the "Ripper," employed brutal and savage methods to carry out these atrocities.

He would roam the streets in search of his victims, targeting women whom he would strangle until they were unconscious.

Once they were incapacitated, he would proceed to cut their throats and inflict further mutilation upon their faces and bodies using a sharp object. Some of the victims also had their organs and body parts removed.

The victims were identified as Mary Anne Nichols, Elizabeth Strider, Catherine Eddowes, and Annie Chapman, all of whom were above the average age for prostitutes at the time, ranging from 42 to 47 years old.

The Ripper's heinous crimes left a lasting impact on the city of London and continue to be the subject of fascination and horror to this day.
