Innledning
Louis Sachar, a renowned American author, is the mastermind behind the book "Holes." Currently residing in Texas with his family and two adorable dogs, Sachar was born in New York and spent most of his childhood in California after moving there with his parents at the age of nine.
He pursued his college education at the University of California at Berkeley and graduated with an economics major. Following graduation, Sachar wrote his debut book, "Sideway Stories from Wayside School," after being fired from his job at a sweater factory.
Sachar's first book was published while he was still studying law, and after completing his law degree, he spent eight years practicing law while continuing to write children's books on the side. As his books gained popularity, Sachar eventually quit practicing law and transitioned to a full-time career as an author.
Utdrag
In Camp Green Lake, the boys are tasked with a seemingly never-ending labor of digging holes with the intention of "building character." However, it doesn't take long for Stanley to recognize that the warden's motives are far from ordinary.
Her strictness and extreme behavior are almost too surreal to believe, making him question the real purpose of their grueling work. Stanley soon realizes that there is more to their daily digging routine than just improving their characters.
