Innledning
Even though the US is known for being a multicultural and multiracial country it is considered by many as a “white country”.

To some degree, this statement makes sense because approximately 70 percent of the country is white, but this does not change the fact that US was built upon the idea that everyone was welcome and that the country did not belong to one single race.

Other races have until recently been seen as second-class citizens by white people.

Considering how old the us is and how long it existed until minorities had equal rights it is not strange that many people have the see the US as a white nation...

I also believe that the notion of a white America comes from white people being spread more across the whole country while minorities are more often seen in cities or states on the coast.
