We all fall down

Innledning
A gang of teenage boys decide one night to get some excitement by vandalizing a family's home, Jerome's home.

They didn't break any windows, but did things to the house that were unthinkable. They left the youngest sister in the family, Karen Jerome, unconscious at the foot of the basement stairs.

This resulted in Karen being in a coma for a long time. A boy, called the Avenger, watched the vandalism but did nothing to stop it that night, because he said he would wait and know when to strike.

The story is set in a small town in the USA called Glencove. We are not told when the story takes place, but it seems like it is in the 90s and it is either spring or fall because the characters are in school.

The main character is not entirely clear, but the three main characters are Samantha, Jake and Maria. It is through their perspective that we gain insight into their feelings and thoughts.

Samantha is a 15-year-old girl who has a few close friends and is enjoying her life, until something unexpected happens. She witnesses a horrific event and no longer feels safe in her town.

She struggles to find someone who understands her and spends her days going to school and walking around the city. Eventually, she meets Jake, who gives her a new sense of hope and comfort.

Maria is an older woman who has lived in Glencove all her life. She is a well-known figure in the town and many people go to her for advice and help. She is often alone and spends her time knitting and reading.

She has a secret that she has kept hidden for many years, but when she meets Samantha and Jake, she begins to open up and share her story.
