Innledning
In 1965, Venice, California was the backdrop for Jim's pursuit of a captivating young woman he had met on the beach.
Under the cover of night, he scaled the walls of her home and professed his belief that she was the one for him.
Utdrag
During the Thanksgiving meal the following year, Jim and Pamela got into a heated argument that nearly resulted in Pamela taking Jim Morrison's life.
As was their pattern, they eventually made up and continued on as if nothing had happened. Whenever they were under the influence of drugs or alcohol, they seemed to find themselves in constant conflict.
However, things took a dark turn later that fall when Jim, in a fit of anger over a minor infidelity, attempted to set the house ablaze while Pamela was inside.
During the recording of their fourth album, The Soft Parade, tensions were running high in the record studio.
In one particularly intense moment, Jim attempted to throw a TV at his bandmate, Ray Manzarek, but fortunately missed his mark.
This incident was just one example of the frequent conflicts that plagued The Doors during this period in their career.
During his time in Miami in 1969, Jim was arrested for public exposure and went to trial after denying the accusation, ultimately resulting in a conviction.
