Innledning
Honorable Members of Congress,
I stand before you today as Katrine, a representative of America's Future, with a critical focus on the imperative need for a transformation in the way Americans choose to commute.

I also aim to shed light on the disparities between the pricing agreements of former President Obama and the current administration under President Trump, particularly in their effects on transportation habits among our fellow citizens.

I am well aware that a majority of you expressed reservations about extending subsidies to electric vehicles back in January, but that proposal did not find approval.

Consequently, I am here today to outline the collective steps we can take to combat the pervasive pollution caused by conventional automobiles. I am open to addressing any queries you may have following my presentation.

Utdrag
Our nation's current stance not only places us far behind others but also exacerbates our environmental footprint. This translates into higher gasoline consumption, further compounding the issue of pollution.

Unless we take swift action, we will continue down this concerning path. While achieving parity between electric and gasoline-powered vehicles may take months or even years, we must commence this journey with electric vehicles.

To alter the transportation habits of Americans, one effective approach would be to reduce levies on electric cars.

The United States ranks among the world's largest contributors to CO2 emissions, and to ensure a sustainable future, we must encourage the adoption of electric vehicles.
