I have a minitalk coming up about Natalie Portman, who I find to be a truly exceptional actress. Despite her relatively young age, she has achieved an impressive level of success in the entertainment industry.

At the tender age of ten, Natalie was already showing signs of her unusual ambition when a model agency approached her to become a model. Despite the tempting offer, she declined it, as her focus was on her passion for acting.

While her peers were relaxing and enjoying their free time at the beach, Natalie always seized every opportunity to attend theatre camps, honing her acting skills.

It was not long before she landed her first big role in the movie Léon (1994) at just thirteen years old. The movie tells the story of an eleven-year-old girl who forges an unlikely friendship with a hitman after her family is brutally murdered by her father's drug dealer.

In order to maintain privacy, she adopted her grandmother's maiden name "Portman" as her stage name after the film's release.

In the following years, Natalie continued to impress in movies like Beautiful Girls and Mars Attacks!. She even took on the challenging role of Anne Frank in a Broadway adaptation of The Diary of Anne Frank. However, it was her role as Padmé Amidala in the Star Wars prequel trilogy that truly catapulted her into the spotlight.

Throughout her illustrious career, Natalie has had the privilege of working with some of the biggest names in Hollywood, including Meryl Streep, Jude Law, and Nicole Kidman.
