Celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November, it fosters a sense of togetherness and gratitude. On the other hand, Black Friday stands as the world's most substantial sales event, and in the United States, it has gained the status of a quasi-national holiday due to its immense popularity.

Despite the allure of Black Friday, certain negative aspects are associated with the event. For instance, Walmart employees across the US have staged strikes, demanding better working conditions, including a minimum wage of $15 per hour and more full-time opportunities.

Additionally, the shopping frenzy during Black Friday often leads to chaotic scenes with customers rushing into stores, displaying aggressive and destructive behavior, posing safety risks for both shoppers and employees alike.

The rising prevalence of shopaholics has become a growing concern in society. Being a "Shopaholic" entails an insatiable urge to purchase items, akin to an addiction where one finds it difficult to stop.

In contemplating consumerism's impact, it becomes a complex subject with both positive and negative aspects.

On one hand, consumerism drives employment and product production, contributing to economic growth.

Conversely, the rise of shopaholics and homelessness, along with the potential dangers seen during events like Black Friday, cast shadows over consumerism's benefits.
