Innledning
I decided to write about Coca Cola because I have a bit of an addiction to it. It's my favorite drink and I never choose anything else when I want a soda.
When I had the opportunity to write about any topic, I knew I had to explore more about the product that brings me so much enjoyment. Okay, maybe that's a bit exaggerated, but I am genuinely curious to learn more about Coca Cola.
The Coca Cola Company has become a household name and is responsible for quenching our thirst with soda on a daily basis.
As the world's leading soft drink sales company, Coca Cola has made its mark globally by distributing several well-known brands.
In addition to producing and marketing a variety of fruit juices and non-soda beverages, the company has its headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia. Coca Cola's success is undoubtedly due to its commitment to providing consumers with delicious and refreshing drinks that they can enjoy anytime, anywhere.
Coca Cola offers a wide range of soft drinks, with their most famous product being the classic Coca Cola or Coke.
Other popular products include Diet Coke, Tab, Sprite, Fanta, Urge, Bon aqua, cherry coke, Aquarius, and Barq's root beer.
In addition to their soda lineup, Coca Cola also produces several non-carbonated beverages such as Minute Maid fruit juices, PowerAde sports drinks, Aquarius Kuli, and Nestea iced tea drinks.
Utdrag
In 1886, John Pemberton, a pharmacist from Atlanta who formulated medicines, created a beverage made from carbonated water, cane sugar syrup, caffeine, and extracts of kola nuts and coca leaves.
Pemberton enjoyed the refreshing taste of the drink, and with the intention of selling it, he sought to promote it to the public.
His bookkeeper, Frank M. Robinson, came up with the name Coca Cola, inspired by the two primary ingredients, and designed the brand's iconic script logo.
This logo has remained the same ever since. Pemberton and Robinson also came up with the drink's first slogan, "Delicious and Refreshing."
Pemberton, unfortunately, passed away before witnessing the success of his product. In the first year of selling Coke, he and his partners only earned $50.
To cover his losses and prevent the business from sinking, Pemberton sold two-thirds of his company in 1888.
