Thatcher died 8th of April, 2013. She died from a stroke, after a period of suffering from dementia.
2. What does the word legacy mean?
Legacy means “arv”, in this context it is basically about what Britain was left with after Thatcher stepped down as a prime minister and after she passed away, the legacy of her policies.
3. Was she loved by everybody in the country?
No, Margaret Thatcher was most definitely not loved by everyone.
She won three elections, so clearly she was loved by quite a few, but she was nevertheless hated by many.
She’s one of those people whom you either hate or love - there were not many in between.
She was mostly loved by the upper class and middle class, whereas the working class and underclass often would hate her due to her rather harsh rule.

Thatcher was prime minister in Britain for 11 and a half year, from 1979 until 1990.

Thatcher is the only female prime minister Britain has ever had.
