Innledning
I chose the book “Diary of a wimpy kid” because I didn’t found a book at school that I liked. Me and some friends of mine went to the library to look at some different books.
The “Diary of a Wimpy kid” was the only book series they had. I chose the first book in the series because I couldn`t remember if I had read it before.
The librarian told the book was funny and nice to start with if you never had read an English book before.

Greg is the main character in the book. He has brown hair, and is very small. Greg is a 13 years old boy.
He finds himself thrust in to a middle school, were undersized weaklings share the hallways with kids who are taller, meaning, and already shaving.
Greg explains that he has no strong talent, other than videogames. He plays the most of the videogames in Rowley`s home, which is his best friend. Greg is very concerned about how he look in the public and his popularity level.
He consider as a wimp, because he always let somebody take the blame, and he often puts himself and his family into trouble.
Rowley is a minor figure in the book, but he is also a main character. Rowley Jefferson is Greg`s forced best buddy.
He has overprotective parents who are not fond about Greg`s behaviour, because they think Greg has a bad influence into him.
Rowley is immature in several ways. He sleeps for example with his teddy bear, and plays with childish toys like dinoblazer action figures.
The author describes Rowley as an overweight boy with a golden brown, long shaped bowl hair.
Frank and Susan Hefley is Greg`s parents. They are main characters in the book but they are also minor figures.
Both cares about the children witch is Rodrick, Greg and Manny. Because of the children, they are often in trouble.
The book is in the 20 century. The most of the plot is at an American middle school, but it also much at Greg`s home and in his neighbourhood.
The book is in the real world, and it is a big circle around the youth. Jeff Kinney use a language that youth understands.
