Utdrag
The founder of Harry Potter: J. K. Rowling
Johanne Rowling was born on a sunny day in July 1965 in the small town of Yate, located in the southern part of Gloucestershire.
When she was just a little girl of 9 years old, her family moved to Tutshill, a place that she didn't particularly enjoy.
Her school was a relic of a bygone era, with teachers who held the strange belief that those deemed "stupid" should sit in the right corner of the classroom.
After completing high school, Johanne decided to pursue a degree in French at the University of Exeter.
However, her time at the university was not without its challenges, and she struggled to find her place in the world.
After graduating, she joined Amnesty International and spent a significant amount of time working for the organization.
It was during a train ride back to London that the idea for her most famous creation, Harry Potter, came to her.
Lamentably, she had no writing utensils with her and thus resorted to creating the story in her head.
That night, she began to write the first chapter of what would eventually become "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone."
The process of writing the book was a long and arduous one. In 1994, she became a mother to a lovely little girl named Jessica, but still managed to find time to write when the baby was asleep.
Despite loving and hating the book simultaneously, she persevered and eventually completed it.
Unfortunately, her first attempt at finding a publisher was unsuccessful.
An agent rejected the first three chapters of the book, causing Johanne to feel disheartened.
However, she refused to give up and eventually found another agent who believed in her work.
It took Johanne a total of five years to plan out the entire story of the Harry Potter series, which she intended to be told over the course of seven books.
She had always known how the story would end, but the journey to get there was a long and winding one.
Finally, in August of 1996, her persistence paid off, and Bloomsbury agreed to publish her book.
Today, her books are known and beloved all over the world.
The Books
Harry Potter: And the philosopher stone!
Ten-year-old Harry Potter had always believed he was just an ordinary boy, living in a small room under the stairs of the Dursley's home.
However, strange occurrences seemed to follow him wherever he went.
He once stumbled upon a glass that, to his amazement, made him disappear. And he couldn't help but notice the peculiar men in strange robes who would nod at him as he went about his day.
Things took an even more peculiar turn when Harry began receiving letters addressed to him, delivered by mysterious owls that seemed to be watching his every move.
The letters seemed to be an invitation of sorts, inviting him to someplace special, though he couldn't quite make out the details.
Harry couldn't shake the feeling that his life was about to change in ways he couldn't even imagine, and he couldn't help but feel a sense of both excitement and trepidation as he waited to see what the future had in store for him.
