My perception of England has been shaped primarily by my two voyages to the country. During the summers of 2013 and 2014, I participated in a summer school and language program, residing with a host family and exploring the enchanting landscapes of Southern England.
These journeys etched not only unique and unforgettable memories in my mind but also imprinted me with England's cultural nuances.
One of my earliest impressions was the prevalence of stone in England's architecture. Stone buildings, stone pavements, stone bridges – they seemed to dominate the landscape. At times, this stony and antiquated aesthetic could border on monotony, presenting a uniform facade across the land.
Nevertheless, it's this very aspect that lends a distinct charm and character to towns like Stamford, which I had the pleasure of visiting. The stone motif contributes to an idyllic and picturesque atmosphere that captivates the senses.

Admittedly, I harbored some preconceived notions about the British. I anticipated them to be somewhat dull and challenging to connect with over an extended period. However, an encounter with the school's leader shattered these assumptions.
Engaging with him revealed a genuinely exceptional individual – an elderly gentleman with a wealth of knowledge and a captivating way of conversing. His warm demeanor and the resonating British accent dispelled my misconceptions.
While interacting with a few younger individuals, including teenagers, I felt they might be slightly immature and superficial.
However, I recognized this judgment was likely rooted in the limited depth of our conversations. Just as I was forming opinions about them, British teenagers might similarly perceive Danish teenagers. I had heard whispers of England's multicultural fabric, particularly around the London area.
